A Jefferson County man was charged with felony domestic assault in the second degree after his wife called 911 and alleged that he had choked her and struck her in the face while intoxicated. In a very unusual set of circumstances, Combs Waterkotte was able to modify the conditions of the bond to allow the husband to return to the marital home. As the case progressed, negotiations with the prosecutor resulted in a dismissal of all charges.
