Matthew Wideman serves as Of Counsel for Combs Waterkotte, where he represents clients in traffic violations, criminal defense, DWI cases, and orders of protection. Known for his aggressive and zealous advocacy, Matt has built a strong reputation as a fierce defender of his clients’ rights. With extensive experience at criminal defense firms in both St. Louis and Kansas City, he now focuses on representing clients across Mid-Missouri and Western Missouri, including Kansas City.
Matt is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Kansas, and the Eastern District of Missouri. He is an active member of several prestigious legal organizations, including the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Wyandotte County Bar Association, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
A lifelong Missourian, Matt graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis before earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. Committed to expanding his knowledge beyond the legal field, he went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University and later obtained his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
When he’s not advocating for his clients, Matt is dedicated to his family, spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their sons, MJ and Mason. An avid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, he enjoys staying active and honing his skills. He is also a devoted dog lover, sharing his home with his beloved black lab, Miranda.
