Combs Waterkotte represented an Imperial man charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in St. Louis City Circuit Court. We filed a Motion to Suppress all evidence due to an illegal seizure of our client. Combs Waterkotte argued that the police did not have reasonable suspicion of any criminal activity to seize our client and that an anonymous phone call of “possible drug use going on in the parking lot” by a local business owner was insufficient standing alone to seize and arrest our client. The court agreed and suppressed the heroin evidence, the drug paraphernalia evidence, and all of our client’s post-arrest statements. Case Dismissed.
