Combs Waterkotte represented a St. Charles man in St. Charles County Circuit Court on a charge of felony child abuse and domestic assault. Felony child abuse carries with it a mandatory minimum one year of jail time and a maximum of seven years in prison. Our client was alleged to have beaten his child with an oversized mallet and then striking his wife. One week before trial, our client received a favorable plea deal that included both charges being reduced to misdemeanors and being placed on probation for two years.
